ABOUT BRUCE DETRICK
BRUCE DETICK (1941-2001) was an American Composer, Poet, Playwright and Philanthropist. Over a 40 year career, he wrote a variety of pieces for the stage, scored several documentaries, and wrote song cycles which have been performed in New York and London. “Crosstown Bus” with original book, music and lyrics, was produced by Stuart Ostrow and the American Repertory Theater. In 1992 Mr. Detrick was awarded a prestigious Certificate of Merit by the Municipal Art Society of New York for his work as Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Tamarand Foundation which brings roof gardens, children’s playgardens, music and the arts to AIDS care facilities in the greater New York area.
